Gian-Andri Töndury arbeitet hauptsächlich in Performances, am liebsten in Kollaborationen. Ihn beschäftigt Theorie in einem weit gefassten Sinn. Er reflektiert über Theorie, Mythologie, Ideologie und Sprache als Elemente politischer Prozesse. Auf ein komplettes Philosophiestudium (Promotion 2007) folgte ab 2009 ein Kunststudium an der HKB Bern (BA 2012) und der ZHdK Zürich (MA 2016). 2013 erhielt er einen Anerkennungspreis für Fotografie und 2015 ein Reisestipendium des Kantons Bern.

I try to bring together the generalizing and abstract perspective of science and of any other kind of theory-making with the perspective of the biographical self, fleeting identifications as art-worker or intellectual or as the person who was once a boy growing up near loryplatz in bern, or, or..                    .
